Wirth House Art House
The historic Brooklyn Centre neighborhood has a great arts organization with the potential to be a catalyst for redevelopment. Art House in Cleveland has a quonset hut building with kilns that it uses to provide studio time for local artists and programming for k-12 school students. See: http://www.arthouseinc.org/ The front two buildings are currently vacant, but could provide attractive frontage for the organization as well as providing housing for students graduating from local institutions like the Cleveland Institute of Art. The properties are within a National Historic District and, if improved, will attract more younger families to the neighborhood. We have nearby resources--the Cleveland Metropark Zoo, the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and two Metrohealth hospital complexes.
