Naples Memorial Town Hall
On Main Street, in the rural Village of Naples, the Naples Memorial Town Hall was built in 1872 as one of only two memorial buildings dedicated to Civil War Veterans in New York. There is a full basement, three large, bright rooms (one with a small stage) and new bathrooms on the main floor, and an auditorium upstairs. Until World War II, the Hall was the center of activity including dances, shows and school sporting events. Following the War, ownership changed several times and it was used for a few businesses, then transferred to the School. Now the Hall rests with the Town who have protected it over time with roof and structural repairs. Recently the electrical system was brought up to code. The grounds continue to be used for Memorial Day ceremonies, Naples Grape Festival and Light Up Naples, but the building may not be used publicly again until it becomes handicapped accessible. Local groups and individuals have expressed interest in using the Hall for meetings, receptions, shows and a museum. Please help to make the Naples Memorial Town Hall the center of our community again.
