Magnolia Elementary School in Seattle
The former Magnolia Elementary School, built in 1927, is located at 2418 28th Avenue West in the Magnolia Neighborhood of Seattle. The site is 2.4 acres in size and is surrounded by Ella Bailey Park, adjacent and to the east, and single family residential homes. The site has amazing city views to the east and west, and on clear days, views of the Cascade mountains to the east and Olympic mountains to the west. The brick building is unoccupied and boarded up, however, you can certainly still see the beautiful craftsmanship that was put into the building. This building is deserving of preserving because of this fine craftsmanship, because of its location and because the Magnolia neighborhood could use a school to meet the increasing need of the student population.
