Her Majesty on Main Street
An 1869-71 built Italianate Residence on Main Street in Vergennes Vermont, left to decline for the last twenty years, is ready for her revitalization. Her Majesty (as she is sometimes referred to) has almost all original woodwork intact, only a few renovations to reverse; she is a landmark for the Small City (one square mile) of Vergennes VT, a place where reverence for the beauty that comes with age is prevalent. The restoration of this residence will impact the community at large, given its prominence in such a small community. Everyone (literally) knows the home, and we all see it daily as we come and go about our days. May she once again stand poised and ready to greet those entering the city, and bid farewell to those passing through ~
