Use Our Muse to Choose Your Hues!
What do Josef Albers, Alexander Girard, and Wassily Kandinsky have in common, other than being major players in the canon of Modernism? All were visionary creators who were unafraid to tap into the power of color. From riotous artworks to sculptural furnishings, bright hues were their calling cards, and endure as timeless classics, functioning as a reminder that the world need not be a drab place to dwell.
Join Dwell and Glidden™ Paint as we embark on our latest design competition and explore the world of unabashed color.
Each month we will unveil a neutral pattern, be it a fabric, an artwork, or an organic texture, and we'll name a room in the house that needs a new palette. Then it's up to you to deliver a collage of raucous photographs, ideas, and complementary colors, selected from Glidden™ Paint's catalogue of paints. Tell us what inspired your color selections, and how you would use them in the room we specify.
Remember: be bold, be original, and above all, be unafraid to defy convention! We can't wait to see what you come up with.
Brownie points to those that seek inspiration from our newest video in the Full Spectrum series, The Full Spectrum: Seize sur Vingt. Look closely and you might just spot Round Two's muse.
